Diagnosis of the indoor gas installation
Gas installation
The "gas" diagnosis must be provided by the seller when the property is for residential use and is equipped with an indoor gas installation dating back more than 15 years. It is performed by a professional diagnostician.
For condominium lots , only the installation present in the private portion must be diagnosed.
The gas diagnosis is valid for 3 years.
It is inserted in the technical diagnostic file attached to the compromise (or promise) and then to the authentic deed of sale.
The diagnostician checks, without disassembling, the condition of the indoor gas installation, with regard to safety requirements:
• Fixed appliances for heating and production of domestic hot water or using a thermal engine, powered by gas,
• Fixed gas supply pipes and their accessories,
• The fitting out of the premises where the gas appliances operate, allowing the ventilation of these rooms and the evacuation of combustion products.
Note: the certificate of conformity, issued by the installer and endorsed by an approved body, after modification work on the gas installation, less than 3 years old, replaces the diagnosis of the indoor gas installation.
